Management Effectiveness Profile System™ (MEPS)
Focusing on a collection of classic and contemporary management skills, MEPS provides managers with confidential and in-depth 360° feedback, promotes self-awareness, and facilitates the development of key skills.
|
 |
Audience: Lower-middle to upper-level managers
Most Frequently Used for:
-
Driving a personalized, self-directed development process that incorporates
360° feedback
-
Evaluating the full spectrum of managers’ job skills and behaviors including
task skills, interpersonal skills, and personal skills
-
Identifying developmental needs for an entire management population and
designing programs to address those needs
Time Required: 25-35 minutes to complete the inventory
Format: Paper Computer-Scored; Online
Feedback Provided: Managers receive feedback on the differences
between their own assessments and those by their raters of their skills in 14
areas, organized into three categories—task-related, interpersonal, and
personal. Feedback is also provided on the managers’ effectiveness in these
three domains.
Presentation of Results: Participants receive a comprehensive,
personalized feedback report that includes bar charts for the 14 skill areas
(showing raw scores and standard deviations) as well as the dispersion of
responses across raters. Scores are also compared to the MEPS normative
population of 5,142 managers, along with a descriptor of one’s
current level of effectiveness for each skill area. Item-level tables display
self-reports and the average of raters’ responses to all 98 MEPS items.
Associated Outcomes: The competencies measured by MEPS are
directly related to a manager’s effectiveness in terms of vision, quality of
work, influence, quality of personal relationships, and career
progression/promotability.
